Retreats/Intellectual Events Management
Background: Our client, a regulatory body in the financial sector approached the FITC Consulting to manage a retreat on how to promote efficiency, transparency, flexibility and interoperability in the ePayments system newly introduced by the Federal Government.

Solution: Using its rapport with key players in the ePayments space, FITC Consulting was able to secure two of the leading minds in electronic transactions and strategies, who delivered various papers at the retreat. Resource materials and various aspects of the logistics were also handled by FITC Consulting, which  helped to ensure meaningfulness of the sessions.  Our rapporteurs  were on hand throughout the retreat to ensure all deliberations were well recorded for action thereafter.

Results: Client assessment was appreciative as participants left the retreat with directional consensus as well as specific actionable points and strategic plan for implementing the new ePayment system successfully.


 

Executive Selection
Background:  An organization charged with the sole responsibility of coordinating the debt of the nation needed to strengthen its capacity to fulfil its mandate by recruiting highly qualified specialized and competent professionals into identified job roles in the organization. The organization engaged the services of FITC to conduct a transparent selection process, aimed at identifying suitably qualified candidates who could be engaged and deployed to meet the current and future needs of the organization

Solution: Following the shortlisting, FITC developed industry specific and job related testing instrument which was administered to candidates that met the shortlisting criteria in a well-coordinated testing environment.  The tool met the grade level and functional requirements. Thereafter, FITC profiled the jobs for successful candidates to establish a fit to do a match in identifying the ideal candidate to be engaged for each vacant job roles.

Result: Client was able to utilize the outcome of FITC’s support to advance the process and engage the suitable candidate for the otherwise difficult – fill - position.


 

Conversion of a Community Bank to A micro Finance Bank
Background: FITC was approached by a major community bank to assist with their successful transition to a state Micro Finance bank in line with Federal Government Directive.

Solution: Having strong knowledge and expertise in the formation of Microfinance banks, FITC Consulting deployed its competence to assist the Client in packaging the documentation requirements to Central Bank of Nigeria. FITC Consulting also prepared the business case for the shareholders, providing relevant market-specific information and indicators of profitability of the investment.

Results: The Board of Directors of the Client subsequently used the information and recommendations of FITC Consulting. The CBN approved its conversion application and it is now one of the licensed Microfinance Banks.


 

Financial Services Compensation Survey
Background:  FITC Consulting was engaged by a regulatory body in the financial services sector to conduct a Compensation Study and a comparison of  total compensation packages for its staff to those of other regulatory organizations in the sector as well as a few operations within its sub-sector.  The information obtained was to guide management and its Board in strategic decisions on a new Remuneration and Compensation Practices. 

 Solution:  With dispatch, FITC Consulting engaged several means of data gathering and tools in conducting this assignment.  We relied heavily on the goodwill and rapport built over the years with the various other regulatory institutions in the sector to get reliable and up-to-date information on remuneration practices.

Results:  FITC Consulting found the compensation of some grade levels highly skewed from comparators while majority of the practices were similar, being public sector organizations.  The Client subsequently used the information and recommendations of FITC Consulting to set new compensation structure in place for its staff, hence, resulting in significant improvement in staff morale and staff attitude to work.
