Background
Risk assets constitute one of the most important earning assets of any organisation, especially those who lend.It is, therefore, important for banks to upgrade the skills of their staff with the responsibility of creating, monitoring and managing these assets.
Target participants
Credit Officers, Portfolio Managers, Legal Advisers and others responsible for lending and credit control in banks and other financial institutions.
Course objectives
At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to:
Gain updated knowledge on new issues in credit analysis and management
Determine the risks associated with lending
Identify options for mitigating credit risks
Appropriately price loans and advances
Identify warning signals on facilities and develop appropriate remedial strategies
Derive feedback from customers and other stakeholders for continued improvement in credit products and services
